The School of Psychological & Social Sciences at York St John University is a vibrant and ambitious academic unit based on a magnificent campus in the heart of York. We are seeking an enthusiastic team member to make a permanent and full-time contribution to our vibrant undergraduate and postgraduate offers, and to further strengthen our growing research activity. Our School offers a number of undergraduate degrees that confer the Graduate Basis for Chartership with the British Psychological Society, and a dynamic, developing postgraduate provision in both taught and research degrees. The successful candidate will have the relevant knowledge, experience and qualifications to make a substantial contribution to teaching Counselling Psychology, and a demonstrable research profile which is well positioned to contribute to REF2021.
Lecturer level candidates are expected to be research active and will be supported to develop an outstanding research profile. Senior Lecturer candidates should have a strong publication record and a successful record of attracting research funding.
All candidates should have research interests that align with the School’s intellectual strengths in Counselling Psychology.
