The Faculty of Science, Department of Chemistry and Food Chemistry, Chair of Inorganic Molecular Chemistry offers a position as
Research Associate / PhD Position
(Subject to personal qualification employees are remunerated according to salary group E 13 TV-L)
in a BMBF funded project „Neuartige Katalysatoren aus Reststoffen für die Nutzung fossiler und biogener Rohstoffe in der Erdölraffinerie“ (ReCaLl) starting as soon as possible. The position entails 50 % of the fulltime weekly hours and is limited until 31.08.2020. The period of employment is governed by Fixed Term research Contracts Act (Wissenschaftszeitvertragsgesetz WissZeitVG). The position offers the chance to obtain further academic qualification (e.g. PhD).
Tasks: Independent research topic work, leading to the establishment of a recycling route by application and improvement of inorganic-industrial-chemical procedures (e.g. dissolution, extraction, separation, re-synthesis, industrial shaping) on real industrial solid-acid catalysts and their fully analytic-chemical characterization.
Requirements: university degree (Master or equivalent) in chemistry; an integrative and cooperative personality with high teamwork abilities, self-motivation skills and organizational talent; interest in application-oriented chemical research; deep knowledge in inorganic-industrial chemistry and inorganic aqueous solid-state synthesis, preferably concerning following topics: zeolites, dissolution and extraction processes, Recycling, “Fluid Catalytic Cracking” (FCC); experience in industrial shaping processes as well as analytical chemistry for solid-acid characterization; PC, Microsoft Office and chemical software handling knowledge.
