Customs House is The University of Queensland's downtown city base. Located on the river in the CBD, Customs House is a unique heritage venue catering for private and corporate functions from 6 to 300 persons. A range of beautifully restored function rooms is available while its riverside restaurant boasts great river views as well as excellent food and professional service.
In the role of Commis Chef you will assist the kitchen team in the production of restaurant and function food as directed by the Head Chef and Chef de Cuisine while maintaining the high culinary standards of Customs House. Customs House is a 7 day a week operation but is closed on Public Holidays.
The successful applicant will need to be a permanent Australian Resident or have a Visa with long term current work rights in Australia. The person needs to maintain a high level of culinary service, have a positive attitude and be a dedicated, professional team member with commitment and motivation. Three year's experience in a similar role is essential.

This is a full time, twelve month fixed-term appointment, as a Cook Grade 3. The remuneration package is $53,567.32 p.a., plus employer superannuation contributions of 9.5% (total package is $58,656.21 p.a.).
