Who are we?

The University of Law (ULaw) is the world’s largest law school. With an impressive history going back to 1876, we employ c650 staff and attract over 7000 students to study on our undergraduate and postgraduate programmes. ULaw has an outstanding reputation as a full service legal and educational training specialist, operating from eight campuses throughout England with additional global reach through online and face to face provision.   The University is now seeking to expand its activities to take advantage of new opportunities provided by the future changes to legal professional qualifications and our recently awarded gold TEF status. Building on recent growth across all areas of the portfolio, we have embarked upon an exciting and ambitious plan for expansion and diversification.

What are we looking for?

In order that we can fully utilise and maximise the University’s estate across our eight UK campuses, we have created a new role to take overall responsibility for the planning and implementation of the University’s space utilisation strategy.  Reporting directly to the COO, the successful post-holder will ensure that the collection, analysis and management of space utilisation information is provided to the Executive Board, both in terms of our student body as a priority, but also related to external revenue streams, i.e.  actively finding customers for under-utilised space.

You will have previous, significant experience of space planning standards, guidelines and workplace regulations, operational experience of the timetabling process, the ability to engage effectively with staff at all levels and, of course, excellent IT skills including fluency in packages such as Scientia Syllabus Plus and Tableau.

We offer an excellent range of competitive benefits including 30 days annual leave, private medical scheme, pension scheme, life assurance, travel loans and childcare vouchers.
Please visit our website for a full job description, person specification and application form. CVs will not be accepted. No agencies please.

If you would like to arrange an informal discussion prior to application, please email Marie Dunne, Executive Assistant –
Closing date for applications: Friday 13th October 2017 at 5.00pm
Interview date/location:    Tuesday 31st October 2017, Moorgate London

Please note that reasonable travel costs will be reimbursed.
