Write and edit materials for wbur.org integrating compelling and creative text, still images, audio- and video-file components, and links to relevant internet resources into an appealing and thoughtful online package. Ensure accuracy of stories by double-checking any necessary facts in assigned projects. Provide additional information to Reports initially developed by broadcast staff. Update the website front page throughout the day, coordinating with station news department for editorial guidance. The site should reflect the daily output of WBUR and its local and national programming. Maintain open communications with news staff and foster a collaborative environment to benefit both the online and on-air products.
Requires: B.A./B.S., or equivalent, excellent communication skills, athorough understanding of how to promote interactivity and audienceengagement with web users, an understanding of the mission of publicradio and one to three years of related experience.
