Location: University Park
Salary: £15,356 to £16,289 per annum pro-rata depending on skills and experience. Salary progression beyond this scale is subject to performance.

The Centre for Biomolecular Sciences requires an organised and flexible individual to provide day to day core building support. The role is varied and spread across a wide number of different research labs in order to help maintain and monitor equipment and essential building services.
Duties will include a solvent bottle delivery service to laboratories, Fumehood safety checks, Laboratory prep room duties including autoclave operation, waste handling and media making.
The role also requires daily lunchtime cover for reception and support for handling deliveries in the goods inwards area plus other general duties to support and cover in the Building.
Candidates should have GCSEs or equivalent in Maths, English and Science at a grade C or above, together with proven work experience in a relevant role. Candidates should have good organisational skills, be able to prioritise work and have the ability to communicate effectively with all levels of staff and students. A basic understanding of COSHH and safety related issues is desirable.
This is a permanent, part time post, hours of work will be 21.75 per week, Wednesday to Friday; 8:30am to 4:45pm.
