Job Description

The Graduate Program in Banking and Financial Law is seeking a lecturer for the spring 2018 semester to teach a one credit residential course in venture capital financing.  This course will provide an introduction to the legal and economic aspects of venture capital financing transactions with the goal of familiarizing students with the legal agreements used to document these transactions.  The course will cover the entire life cycle of an investment, focusing on the function of the most common transaction documents, the economic and/or legal purpose of the provisions contained within these documents and alternative approaches to address specific situations.  The candidate must be able to teach in person at the law school for the 13 weeks of the spring 2018 semester.

Required Skills

A minimum of 10 years’ experience practicing in this area and prior teaching experience or prior experience as a frequent presenter at bar association or other CLE conferences.
