About You 

You will have a commitment to excellence in teaching and research. You will manage and teach modules in the area of Web design & development, supervise undergraduate and PG projects and act as a personal tutor for students across all years. You will have a proven track record in research and publication or be able to provide convincing evidence of the potential to do so; and be able to contribute to the growing research profile of the Department and to future REF submissions. It is also expected that you will develop and maintain your own research programme. 
 
 Applicants should have the expertise and ability to develop the curriculum in these areas: 
 
- Web design, Web development, Web engineering, Web analytics, HCI, Web informatics.
 
Applicants should also have technical expertise in:
 
- Web analytics software or tools as well as JavaScript, PHP, HTML, CSS, Python, Git, MySQL, etc.
 
Passion and enthusiasm for your subject area is essential as is the ability to develop and use effective, flexible and innovative approaches to teaching, learning and assessment.

About the Role 

The Computer Science department has an active research community involving academic staff, several PhD students and national and international research projects. The department also has close links with industry and includes an enterprise projects team which develops systems for clients together with Knowledge Transfer Partnerships.

You will design, prepare, deliver and assess high quality and innovative learning experiences to students whilst conducting and publishing high quality research and supporting students’ development.
