The Bartlett School of Construction and Project Management is a key part of The Bartlett Faculty of the Built Environment, in scale and coverage unique in the UK, and one of the leading built environment faculties in the world. The Bartlett School of Construction and Project Management has expanded dramatically over the last 10-15 years, and its range of expertise has grown during this period to cover all aspects of the management of projects, from governance to strategy, commercial matters to technology, economics and finance to people and organisation. A large proportion of its work involves systems and ICT and covering sectors beyond construction, while its expertise in infrastructure finance and management is world-class.
As the result of significant success and expansion, the School now seeks to appoint a world-class Professor to play pivotal leadership role. Joining an internationally renowned group of colleagues, the appointee to the role will develop their own compelling research visions, exploring new avenues for interdisciplinary research, teaching and links to industry.
Applicants for this role will be considered for appointment as Director of School for an initial term of four years in addition to their Professorial responsibilities, and will demonstrate the strategic leadership capacity and collaborative, interdisciplinary outlook commensurate with the Directorship.
This is an exciting opportunity for ambitious, high quality applicants from across the spectrum of disciplines represented in the School of Construction & Project Management to join a world renowned Faculty and School. The appointee’s field of expertise may complement the School’s existing research and teaching strengths in complex project management and strategic management, or else may speak to emerging opportunities and threats in a world of digitisation and agility, smart supply chains, and innovative funding.
