The Department of Adult Nursing and Paramedic Science is seeking to appoint either a Senior Lecturer or a Clinical Education Facilitator to support its growing provision in Paramedic Science. This is an exciting opportunity for an experienced practitioner or academic who is motivated and enthusiastic and keen to work in a dynamic department. The role holder will work in partnership with academic colleagues, local ambulance services and will support the department in shaping the future of pre-hospital emergency care.

We are seeking to employ an HCPC registered paramedic to work within an established team of Paramedic academics delivering paramedic programmes at both pre and post registration level. The post is available on a full time, permanent basis. You will have experience of working / teaching in a paramedic role and experience of teaching and assessing students is essential. You should also have good interpersonal / communication skills as well as the ability to manage competing priorities. Applicants should possess an excellent understanding of evidence based practice, clinical skills, anatomy, physiology and pharmacology related to paramedic science. Previous experience of paramedic teaching or assessing in practice / education environment would be advantageous. You will contribute to the delivery of established provision across the faculty with a focus on undergraduate and post registration paramedic science programmes. The post will also involve contribution to the delivery of other programmes across the department/faculty. It will be expected that you will hold or be willing to work towards a master’s degree /PhD.
