The School of Medical and Health Sciences at Edith Cowan University (ECU) offers undergraduate, postgraduate and research degrees. Academics in the School are involved in research and teaching relating to a wide range of allied, public and occupational health disciplines.

ECU is currently seeking an experienced Exercise Physiologist (EP) for a part-time, fixed term position. This position offers excellent opportunities for an experienced EP to pursue an academic career and to make a real difference supporting the clinical experience of EP students. 


In this position you will be a member of the Exercise and Sport Science academic team and will be responsible for the sourcing, arranging and management of clinical placements for ECU Exercise Physiology students, as well as delivering practicum units at undergraduate level. You will also be expected to have the knowledge, skills and experience to be able to mentor and guide students through their practicum work and have a broad understanding of the scope of the Exercise Physiologist’s role. You must be registered with Exercise and Sport Science Australia (ESSA).

We are looking for a great communicator, who can build relationships with students and with host organisations as well as working effectively with ECU’s Professional support staff. You must be a qualified Exercise Physiologist with extensive industry experience and knowledge of the WA Health System. 

Completion of or significant progress towards a relevant Master’s degree is preferred. Candidates holding a PhD may be appointed at Level B.

Benefits & Remuneration

This fixed 50% FTE role will attract remuneration of $67,273 - $91,262 (Level A) or $95,979 to $113,978 (Lecturer ALEVB) paid on a pro-rata basis, plus 9.5% University superannuation contribution.
