Outstanding opportunity for an experienced fundraising professional to take a lead role in the delivery of the University's advancement strategy.

The Director of Advancement (DoA) is responsible for developing the advancement strategy and leading the University’s philanthropic and engagement activities. This will be achieved through connections with CDU Alumni, government and industry stakeholders, communities and individuals, throughout Australia and internationally. The delivery of the advancement strategy will be supported by philanthropic fundraising, Alumni and Community engagement activities with the support of the Advancement Team. A major contributor and supporter of the University, CDU Foundation will be supported by the DoA, with the development and continuation of events, publications, engagement, proactive outreach activities and programs. 

CDU is seeking an experienced fundraising professional and leader with a track record of attainment within a university or similarly complex not for profit environment, accomplished in driving growth through best practice principles of gift administration. They will demonstrate influential and sophisticated public speaking and communication skills, confidently addressing different audiences of diverse racial, economic and cultural backgrounds for the purpose of pursuing and retaining major donors for the University. Demonstrated experience working with boards of management and committees, is expected as is a relevant tertiary qualification in a related discipline.
