The Student Immigration & Compliance Officer reports to the Head of Legal for delivery of services for the School in relation to Tier 4 Student visa compliance and student immigration. The post-holder will also work with the Staff Immigration & Compliance Officer to support Tier 2 and 5 Visa sponsorship during peak periods. Together with the Staff Immigration & Compliance Officer, the role-holder will form the School’s newly established Immigration Advisory Service. 
The post-holder will be responsible for coordinating and promoting the School's compliance administration and activities with the Home Office Tier 4 sponsor requirements as well as ensuring registration, engagement and reporting policies and procedures are adhered to at all times, changes to student circumstances are reported to the UKVI and overseas student records are accurately maintained.
The successful applicant will hold an undergraduate honours degree or equivalent professional experience. Have excellent knowledge of issues related to Points Based Immigration and familiarity with the SITS student records system (or similar) including analysis of data and reporting functions. The post holder will have highly developed interpersonal skills including the ability to provide guidance on regulatory and compliance issues and the interpretation of regulations.  You will have significant experience of working in higher education administration including admissions, registry or immigration related positon with proven experience of identifying and developing new process improvements.  
The post is full-time and permanent.  The salary will be on the Professional Support Pathway 5 scale in the range £33,567 to £38,533 per annum (inclusive of London Weighting). The post will be subject to the LSHTM terms and conditions of service.  Annual leave entitlement is 30 working days per year, pro rata for part time staff. In addition to this there are discretionary “Director’s Days”. Membership of the Pension Scheme is available. The post is based in London, Keppel Street.
