Salary: $98,775 - $117,290 p.a. plus 17% superannuation

Located within the Department of Nursing at The University of Melbourne, you will primarily support the delivery of teaching in human pathophysiology and specialty nursing practice. You will work directly with the Course Coordinator of the Graduate Certificate in Nursing Practice to support teaching in human pathophysiology and speciality nursing (acute care). You will also participate in the Department of Nursing research strategy by undertaking research, consistent with the department’s research foci, that contributes to the national research profile of the Department of Nursing.

Key responsibilities of the role include but not limited to:

  • Develop curriculum and deliver educational programs in human pathophysiology and specialty nursing practice
  • Produce quality conference and seminar papers and publications in related disciplines
  • Identify sources of funding to support individual or collaborative projects
  • Participate in community and professional activities related to nursing

To be successful in this role, you are required to have:

  • registration or be eligible for registration as a Registered Nurse with Australian Health Practitioner Regulation Agency (AHPRA);
  • A specialist qualification and recent clinical experience working in one of the following areas of nursing practice: neuroscience, renal, diabetes, cardiac, respiratory, high dependency, or coronary care
  • A strong background in teaching human pathophysiology
  • PhD in nursing or, health science (or close to completion)
  • A developing research profile at a national level
