Assistant Research Officer/Senior Research Assistant in the School of Public Health (Ref.: 201701112) (to commence as soon as possible, on a two-year fixed-term basis with contract-end gratuity and University contribution to a retirement benefits scheme, totalling up to 10% of basic salary)

Applicants should possess a Master’s degree or equivalent in Public Health, Social Sciences, Computer Science/Informatics or related disciplines, with at least 3 years’ experience in health and/or social sector, community-based research, as well as public health and population sciences research. Registered Social Worker with recognized degree in Social Work and/or experience in health and medical institutions will be an advantage.  Applicants should have good leadership, organizational, interpersonal and communication skills, knowledge of social and education sectors, the ability to work closely with a multidisciplinary team and external parties, including academics, social service groups, politicians, etc. Applicants with less qualifications and/or experience will be considered as Senior Research Assistant. The appointee will be primarily responsible for coordinating an innovation research project on family and ICT behaviors, maintaining close liaison with collaborators and partners, overseeing data collection and entry, supervising research support staff, coordinating production of research paper/reports, and performing any other duties assigned.
