Applications are invited for appointments as Tenure-Track Assistant Professor (2 posts) in the School of Chinese Medicine, to commence as soon as possible, on a three-year fixed-term basis, with the possibility of renewal subject to satisfactory performance.

For post 1, applicants should possess (i) a recognized Bachelor’s degree of a 5-year Chinese Medicine programme registrable with the Chinese Medicine Council of Hong Kong, (ii) a PhD degree in Chinese Medicine, (iii) a Certificate of Registration for Chinese Medicine Practitioner in Hong Kong, (iv) proven capacity and potential in research, with a track record of high-quality impactful research in the field of Chinese Medicine as indicated by publication record and external grants; and (iv) at least 5 years’ clinical or teaching experience at the undergraduate level in tertiary institution(s).  For post 2, applicants should possess (i) a recognized Bachelor’s degree in Chinese herbal medicine or related disciplines, (ii) a PhD degree in Chinese herbal medicine or related disciplines, (iii) proven capacity and potential in research, with a track record of high-quality impactful research in the field of Chinese herbal medicine as indicated by publication record and external grants, and (iv) at least 5 years’ teaching experience at the undergraduate level in tertiary institution(s).  For both posts, applicants should be proficient in written and spoken English.  The appointees are expected to participate in the planning and delivery of undergraduate and postgraduate programmes, and conduct research. The appointee for post 1 is required to provide regular clinical services in the School of Chinese Medicine.   
A highly competitive salary commensurate with qualifications and experience will be offered, in addition to annual leave and medical benefits.  The appointments will attract a contract-end gratuity and University contribution to a retirement benefits scheme, totalling up to 15% of basic salary.  Housing benefits will also be provided as applicable.
