Applications are invited for appointments as Non-Tenure Track Clinical Associate Professor/Clinical Assistant Professor (several posts) in the Department of Family Medicine and Primary Care, to commence as soon as possible, on a two- to three-year fixed-term basis, with the possibility of renewal subject to funding availability and satisfactory performance.  Fractional appointments and/or appointments under the practice category may be considered for suitable candidates.

Applicants should possess a medical qualification registrable with the Medical Council of Hong Kong and with a higher professional qualification equivalent to the Fellowship of the Hong Kong Academy of Medicine (Family Medicine).  They should demonstrate a strong commitment to teaching, and be able to contribute to the enhancement and development of courses for the Faculty in the broad spectrum of medical and health sciences education.  They should also have proven ability to provide clinical services and training at the University's affiliate teaching hospitals; teach, organize and develop undergraduate and postgraduate programmes; conduct high-quality scholarly research; and contribute to administrative duties in the department.  Direct communication with patients is required and the languages employed are English, Cantonese and Putonghua.

A highly competitive salary commensurate with qualifications and experience will be offered, in addition to annual leave and medical benefits.  The appointments will attract a contract-end gratuity and University contribution to a retirement benefits scheme, totalling up to 15% of basic salary.  A monthly cash allowance will be offered to the successful candidates.  Housing benefits will also be provided as applicable.
