The Finance Office requires an experienced Senior Accounts Receivable Assistant to help manage the School’s credit control function, as well as its cash office. The post holder will be responsible for ensuring both the sales ledger and customer master files are accurate on the financial system, that aged debts are constantly monitored and followed up on and that all income is posted in a timely manner.

You should be educated to degree level and have AAT qualification or equivalent. You should have proven experience of being effective in credit control, operating a cash office and issuing sales invoices, along with good knowledge of VAT. Excellent communication, numerical and computer skills are required as is the ability to prioritise tasks and meet deadlines. The post holder will report to the Assistant Financial Accountant. 
The post is full-time and permanent. The expected start date for this post will be the 1st of November 2017. The salary will be on the Professional Support Pathway Grade 4 scale in the range £28,751 to 32,705 per annum (inclusive of London Weighting). The post will be subject to the LSHTM terms and conditions of service.  Annual leave entitlement is 30 working days per year, pro rata for part time staff. In addition to this there are discretionary “Director’s Days”. Membership of the Pension Scheme is available.
