The ANU College of Engineering and Computer Science (CECS) is one of the premier engineering and computer science research institutions in the world. Comprising the Research School of Computer Science and the Research School of Engineering, both are recognised as research leaders in their respective areas continuing the tradition of excellence in research and research-led education. CECS collaborates on research projects with government departments (federal and state) and multinational corporations, helping to accelerate research and development programs and to introduce new technologies to the marketplace. CECS offers a wide range of coursework programs at both the undergraduate and graduate level, and also supervises students for higher degrees by research. We offer undergraduate degrees in engineering, information technology and computer science along with masters and doctoral postgraduate programs.
The Office of the Dean, ANU College of Engineering and Computer Science, is seeking a well-organised, independent and proactive Executive Assistant who enjoys working in a high level and varied environment.
Reporting directly to the Executive Officer, you will be the personal assistant to the College Dean and General Manager and ensure that the day-to-day operations of the Office of the Dean are carried out effectively and efficiently. The Office of the Dean comprises of the Dean, the General Manager, five Associate Deans, and a Sub Dean.
You will act as the first point of contact for the Office of the Dean and will liaise with staff, students and visitors, and build close and effective working relationships with colleagues in both the College and University more broadly. You will be supporting the Executive Officer in various ad hoc projects and also responsible for providing high-quality secretariat support to various executive committees, as well as coordinating College events and functions.
