The Role

The Office of the Deputy Vice-Chancellor (DVC), Corporate Engagement and Advancement (CEA) is accountable for achieving the strategic goals for the University with regard to corporate engagement, advancement, domestic student recruitment and the Macquarie University brand.

Within the Office, the Corporate Engagement team is responsible for identifying, developing and growing relationships with local, national and international corporate partners to support University goals. This includes leading the Macquarie Park Innovation District.

The Corporate Engagement team is currently seeking a highly organised and dynamic Office Manager. Stepping into this varied role, you will be responsible for the day-to-day running of the office; providing secretarial, administrative and project support; arranging travel and accommodation; preparing correspondence and documentation; responding to queries about the Office and its activities; developing, implementing and or improving administrative systems, processes and procedures; and ensuring the smooth operations of the team.

Selection Criteria

To be considered for the position, you must submit an updated CV, and a cover letter (no more than 2 pages) which addresses the criteria below:

  • Demonstrated experience in providing administrative and personal/ office support in a fast-paced and complex environment
  • Demonstrated experience providing administration support and service to a large team
  • Demonstrated systematic approach to work and ability to manage multiple priorities
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Excellent interpersonal skills with the ability to build and maintain relationships with key internal and external stakeholders, at all levels
  • Experience in preparing reports and presentations, and providing support with data analysis and project administration

Salary Package: from $80,231 – $88,561 per annum (HEW 6) plus 17.5% super and annual leave loading

Appointment Type: Full-time, continuing position.
