As the custodians of Records Management at the University of Wollongong (UOW), the Records Management Unit (RMU) manages records management compliance and promotes best practice. This requires consistent collaboration with stakeholders across the University will therefore be a key component of the role.

The RMU is one of four units within the Governance and Legal Division (the other units are Governance, Legal Services and the Complaints Management Centre) RMU is currently seeking a Records Management Coordinator as part of its dedicated team.

This position is initially responsible for finalising the implementation UOW’s Electronic Document and Records Management System (EDRMS) and subsequently for supporting and facilitating continuous improvement. This role develops and drives strategies; co-ordinates and runs projects; contributes to the integration of the EDRMS with other UOW business systems; and provides guidance on records management compliance with the University’s Records Management Policy and supporting guidelines, as well as with records related legislation, in particular the NSW State Records Act 1998 as well as relevant General Disposal Authority documents.
