Financial Aid Advisor

This entry level position will work as part of a team supporting the schools of Medicine, Dental Medicine, and Public Health and will assist clients (students and their families) in making decisions related to the financial aid application and eligibility process, financing alternatives and other financial assistance issues in an effort to help the BUMC Student Financial Services office (SFS) achieve University goals for recruitment, retention, and superior service. This position will also act as an administrative assistant for SFS by maintaining inventory of all general office supplies, determining appropriateness of requests for purchases of goods and services, and oversight of all expenditures within the department. The ideal candidate will possess: Strong analytical skills Effective problem solving and communication skills Ability to work well in a fast-paced and team-oriented environment Working knowledge of federal and state financial aid policies, procedures and regulations are preferred.
Bachelor's degree and one to two years of experience in a service and detail oriented position, strong analytical and organizational skills.
