Trinity College has a thriving community of over 2,500 students from Australia and overseas in its various educational programs, including a Residential College, a Theological School and a Pathways School. The Theological School, founded in 1877, is an Anglican (Episcopal) Theological School that represents the diversity and inclusive character of the Anglican tradition.

The purpose of this role is to increase the Theological School’s focus on research and to further its research output in alliance with the University of Divinity of which it is a constituent College.

The incumbent must have completed a doctorate in theology in the last five years and be able to demonstrate capacity for high level research, as well as possessing organisational skills. She or he will be expected to work towards publication of at least two peer-reviewed articles per year and make considerable progress towards the production of a scholarly monograph. A limited amount of lecturing may be negotiated.

The position is full time, and the successful candidate will be given a desk in the research room and is expected to contribute to the intellectual, prayer, and community life of the School and College.

The role requires an early-career person of outstanding potential. Sympathy toward the Anglican ethos and values of the Theological School and the educational values of the College would be highly regarded.
