Salary: £17,399 to £20,624 per annum, depending on skills and experience. Salary progression beyond this scale is subject to performance.

Applications are invited for the above post based within the University’s Human Resources Department at the King’s Meadows Campus.
As part of the busy HR Central Support Services team, you will be expected to provide efficient and responsive secretarial and administrative support to a variety of professional HR staff ensuring a range of services and events can be delivered effectively for our customers. You will be responsible for note-taking for meetings (including HR case conferences, committees and departmental meetings); diary management support; co-ordination of central short courses; maintenance of our HR web site and intranet and dealing with general enquiries, directing our customers appropriately to access relevant HR services.
You must have a minimum typing speed of 50 wpm, hold GCSEs in English and mathematics (at Grade C or above) or equivalent, such as a vocational qualification (NVQ2 administration with secretarial skills) or experience of an office/administrative environment. You should also have proven IT skills including MS Word; Excel, PowerPoint and Outlook; and ideally advanced typing/secretarial skills (OCR (RSA) Level 3 or above (or equivalent)). In addition, you will have experience of working in a busy office environment, preferably within a HR function and be able to demonstrate exceptional organisational skills, high attention to detail, good communication skills and a strong customer focused approach to work.

This is a full-time permanent post. Normal office hours will be between 9.00 am - 5.15 pm Monday to Friday inclusive, however, flexibility may be required to support a busy work environment.
