Salary: £22,494 to £25,298 plus £4623 London weighting
Part Time Hours: 0.6 FTE (21 hours Monday - Thursday evenings)
Contract Type: Fixed Term - Start date flexible (01st of October) - 30th of July

The Student Connect project is an important part of the University’s strategy for UK recruitment. An enthusiastic and committed individual is sought to plan, deliver and evaluate the Student Connect project. The role will coordinate a small team of student telephone advisers, who will be driving the conversion of applicants to the University and enabling successful transition. The ideal candidate will have experience of supporting student recruitment activities with a commitment to student progression. The management of data and to funnel students in the application pipeline through to successful registration.
The prospective candidate will have the ability to apply sound sales principles to the University’s environment, taking into consideration the perspective of target audiences and the dynamics of the market place. And a proactive approach to contributing to creative conversion solutions.
You will be an outstanding communicator with the skills to persuade, influence, support and engage prospective students in their transition into Higher Education. You will have experience of working in an education setting or a commercial data driven role, strong MS Excel skills and experience of working in a call centre is essential. Experience of working in Higher Education with knowledge of the UCAS cycle would be desirable.
The successful role holder will be required to work closely with the other teams within the directorate, together with other directorates and Faculties to maximise positive exposure for the University of Greenwich. The service is underpinned by the universities shared values of ambition, creativity, determination, excellence and inclusive. We encourage the development of staff aspirations and confidence, placing individual responsibility and accountability in decision making. He/she will provide direct support to the Recruitment Coordinators and Recruitment Manager to achieve the University’s student recruitment targets.
The working arrangements for this post are Monday to Thursday from 2.45pm to 20:00pm with occasional weekend/bank holiday work at busy points in the application cycle.
