Salary: $98,775 – $117,290 p.a. (pro rata) plus 17% superannuation
VCA Film and Television offers degrees in direction, screenwriting and producing, with specialisations in drama, documentary and animation. The school's graduates are industry leaders in cinema, television and associated fields, with many being recognised internationally at A-list awards and festivals and on high-profile productions.
VCA Film and Television also offers elective (breadth) subjects in film production related subjects to students enrolled in other disciplines. We have an opportunity for an experienced academic to coordinate and teach into these Breadth subjects. You will be involved in subject development, design and the delivery of these high quality teaching programs, as well as maintaining and developing your scholarly, research and/or professional activities.
You will have a PhD in a related field or equivalent professional practice, significant achievement in related professional activities, experience in tertiary curriculum development, demonstrated links and contacts within the film and television industry and the ability to lead, coordinate and manage a small team.
This position is a part time (0.7 FTE) continuing position. The role is based at the Southbank Campus, in the heart of Melbourne’s art precinct.
