About the Opportunity
The University Librarian will provide strategic leadership and direction to the Library Services function.
This key position will be responsible for the overall management and operation of the Main and Law Libraries as well as the Balnaves Foundation Multimedia Learning Centre, and will be required to have a hands-on approach to ensure alignment of the strategic, operational and budgeting plans of Library Services with the University’s plan.
Skills and Experience
The ideal applicant will have strong executive leadership experience along with the demonstrated ability to manage staff, resources, relationships, change and projects effectively. It is essential that the successful applicant has the capability to work collaboratively with others to support the education, research and community engagement functions of the University. Previous management and leadership experience in a senior role in a University or academic Library is highly desirable.
