The Australian Centre for Christianity and Culture (ACC&C) is a joint venture between the Anglican Diocese of Canberra and Goulburn (on behalf of the Christian Churches of Australia) and Charles Sturt University. The Diocese has provided a 99 year lease to CSU for the purposes of running the Centre, which is situated on the edge of the Parliamentary triangle on a 6 hectare site. The ACC&C is an ecumenical foundation and this is reflected in the make up of the Board with members from the Christian churches of Australia who together hold in trust the vision of the centre for the churches of Australia. The ACC&C reflects the faith background of approximately 14 million people or 63% of the Australian population.
The main focus of this position is management of the operations of the Centre (in particular the business, site management and events, engagement with external stakeholders and partners) and provision of support to the Executive Director and Board. The ACC&C works closely with the University’s Public and Contextual Theology Strategic Research Centre (PACT) and the position provides administrative support for the operation of PACT.
Applicants are expected to apply online and address the selection criteria listed in the position description.
Open to Australian Citizens and Permanent Residents; or applicants that hold a current valid work visa commensurate with this position.
