The School of Humanities seeks to fill two tenure-track positions, at the Assistant Professor level, with specialisation in Creative Writing and in Asian Literature and Culture.

1.    Creative Writing 
All areas of expertise will be considered, including fiction, creative non-fiction, playwriting, poetry, screenwriting, and multimedia writing.

2.    Asian Literature and Culture
All aspects of Asian Literature and Culture, including all literary genres, theatre, performance, or cinema (or some combination thereof), will be considered. Related areas, such as Asian-Australian literature or British-Asian writing, are also welcome as secondary fields.

Candidates should possess a PhD in the relevant area of specialisation and demonstrate a strong track record or potential for research as well as a commitment to teaching and administrative service.  Selection will be based on evidence of potential for high-quality research and effective teaching.  The usual workload includes teaching two courses per semester, conducting scholarly research and contributing to university services.

Salary is competitive and will be commensurate with qualifications and experience. The University offers a comprehensive fringe benefit package.
