Faculty of Medicine
The University of Queensland’s Faculty of Medicine is an internationally recognised provider of world-class education and research. The research-intensive Faculty has a gross budget of almost $300 million, employs approximately 1000 continuing and fixed-term staff (headcount), has a community of more than 4000 non-salaried academic appointees and around 3200 students (headcount).
The Faculty of Medicine offers Australia’s largest medical degree program for graduates and school-leavers. Undergraduate and postgraduate programs are available in the disciplines of Medicine, Health Sciences, E-Health, Mental Health, Biomedical Sciences and Public Health.
The Project Manager will be responsible for providing a high level of analysis, development, administration and support to Faculty Executives to successfully develop and implement a wide variety of projects across the Faculty.
Applicants should possess a Bachelor Degree and Postgraduate qualifications in a relevant area (or progress towards postgraduate qualifications), with significant experience in project management or an equivalent combination of experience, education and training. You will have demonstrated ability in the management of large scale projects preferably within a higher education environment, experience managing people, projects and budgets, analytical skills sufficient to assess problems and propose appropriate solutions and the applicant must also have excellent interpersonal skills and knowledge of the University structure.
This is a full-time, fixed term appointment for two years at HEW Level 8. The remuneration package will be in the range $92,811 to $104,214 p.a. plus employer superannuation contributions of up to 17% (total package will be in the range $108,589 to $121,930 p.a.).
