The role and your responsibilities
The Senior Lecturer - Industry Fellow is expected to contribute to the teaching, industry engagement and research and development efforts of the School within the area of Information Driven Manufacturing. More specifically, the Senior Lecturer - Industry Fellow is responsible for carrying out teaching activities within undergraduate and masters programs, and industry short courses and for maintaining and advancing their scholarly, professional and/or research capabilities. The Senior Lecturer - Industry Fellow is also expected to actively promote the program by establishing and maintaining memberships, links and partnerships with academic, industry and professional communities. The Senior Lecturer - Industry Fellow is expected to work collaboratively and collegially with fellow academics within the teaching team, and update colleagues and students on developments in their subject area or specialisation. Furthermore, the Industry Fellow will be expected to engage pro-actively with key RMIT partnerships including research centres to develop strategic activities in Information Driven Manufacturing and develop student internship opportunities.
Skills & Experience Required
The ideal candidate will have demonstrated achievements in activities related to Information Driven Manufacturing along with an ability to build linkages with industry and government leading to multi-faceted outcomes including internships, industry-focused student projects and research. To be successful in the role you will be able to deliver programs at undergraduate and post-graduate levels and industry short courses, with a demonstrated ability to supervise higher degree by research candidates'. A PhD or equivalent experience in relevant field is required.
