Royal Holloway, University of London, is ranked in the top 30 of all UK universities.  Through world-class research that expands minds and changes lives, the dedication of our teachers and the feel of the Royal Holloway experience, ours is a community that inspires individuals to succeed academically, socially and personally.

The College is embarking upon a period of growth and transformation facilitated by new digital and core IT improvement.  This is a multi-million pound programme and in recognising the enterprise-wide need for joined up technology that delivers teaching, research and student benefits, the College has upgraded the IT organisation to CIO status.

This is a role of significant strategic importance, leading a technology service of c60 staff to harness information management and technology to support the priorities of the College at a world class level. Given the internal repositioning of the role and department it is essential that our new CIO communicates effectively with colleagues, engenders respect and earns the trust of the senior team as the College transitions both culturally and structurally towards a new way of technology delivery.
Our new CIO must embody the new position of technology in the College. Senior level accountability, trust and communication will be core to your delivery experience. Candidates will bring leadership credentials in a relevant and complex environment with an appreciation that the IT agenda needs to flow from the College’s academic and business needs.
