The Education Portfolio is headed by the Deputy Vice-Chancellor Education and Vice President who leads the planning and implementation of the University's strategies related to RMIT's academic programs and the RMIT student experience. The Portfolio is responsible for services to support the quality of RMIT programs, including the professional development of academic staff, continuous improvement of the student experience, learning and teaching outcomes and the management of learning and research information sources. The Education Portfolio plays a key role in empowering students to access education, participate actively in the life of the University and achieve successful and fulfilling lives beyond graduation. The provision of a stimulating and satisfying experience for students is a priority for the University.
The Role & Your Responsibilities
The Planning and Resources Coordinator is responsible for providing accurate financial administration support and advice to staff within The Academic Registrar's Group (ARG), with the support of the Financial Services Group. This role also assists with planning activities within the ARG including the development of strategic and operational projects, and annual budget submission. The incumbent will manage stakeholders, understand their interests and ensure that impacted stakeholders have an understanding of new operational processes. They will also research, collect and critically analyse a range of data which informs the strategic decision making of the ARG.
Skills & Experience Required
As the successful candidate you will have demonstrated experience in stakeholder management, including the ability to negotiate and communicate effectively with a range of people across and external to the organisation. You will also have a consultative and open mind, with highly effective written and verbal communication and interpersonal skills. Highly developed interpersonal skills, including the demonstrated ability to effectively communicate with staff at various organisational levels and work cooperatively as a member of a team will be imperative to you success in this role.
