Research Assistant in Marine Science
The Advanced Water Management Centre (AWMC) is an international centre of excellence in innovative water technology and treatment. During 20 years of research in this field, we have developed leading expertise in education, research and training. A major focus of AWMC research is urban water management. The Centre has world-leading expertise in the optimisation of wastewater systems including both wastewater collection and wastewater treatment systems including resource recovery. The Australian Research Council and many members of the Australian water industry fund the research conducted at AWMC.

The successful applicant will provide technical support for our research teams working on the understanding and optimisation of chemical dosing to sewers for sulphide and sulphide-induced corrosion control, and integrated urban water management with sewer as a part.
Applicants should possess an undergraduate degree in degree in engineering, technology or science or related areas.
You should have experience in laboratory and field based investigations relating to the control of sewer corrosion and odour projects.

This is a full time fixed term appointment at HEW level 5 for 12 months (with possible extensions)
The remuneration package will be in the range $64,597.80 - $72,348.95 p.a., plus employer superannuation contributions of up to 9.5% (total package will be in the range $70,734.59 - $79,222.10 p.a.).
