The ANU College of Arts and Social Sciences (CASS) is the largest single College of seven Colleges at ANU. The College, which is structured into two main research schools, offers degrees in more than 20 discipline areas and excels in research across the creative arts, humanities and social sciences. The College has a substantial international research presence and is a major source of national policy advice. Our academic staff are internationally recognised for their research, and 46 are members of the Australian Academy of the Humanities, the Academy of the Social Sciences of Australia, or both We also host 13 Australian Research Council Future Fellows and two ARC Laureates. A hub of vibrant activity, we host more than 100 lectures, concerts and exhibitions each year, most of which are open to the public. Our students, staff and graduates come from more than 60 nations, bringing a diversity of perspective to campus life.

Right now we're looking for talented and enthusiastic HR professionals who are keen for the opportunity to continue to grow their Human Resources career through a fixed term opportunity supporting a large and diverse client group.  We are seeking someone to fill a temporary contract for 14 months, whilst current team members are on temporary transfer, and would welcome interest from staff who are interested in full or part time (job share arrangement) hours.

Position overview:

The HR team structure is collaborative and supportive, liaising with and providing high quality HR advice and service to a wide variety of staff and visitors. This is a generalist HR role covering a broad range of HR tasks while working collaboratively with staff in the College and the Human Resources Division (HRD) and supports the implementation of various local and University-wide HR initiatives.

To be successful in this role you must have demonstrated HR experience with proven HR information system experience.  A high level of both communication and attention to detail while meeting competing deadlines is also required.  Industry membership or certification, relevant training/ degree qualifications and experience using Page Up or People soft programs are highly desirable.
