Situated within the College of Science, Engineering and Health, The School of Engineering came into existence on January 1, 2016 and comprises the previous schools of Aerospace, Mechanical and Manufacturing Engineering; Civil, Environmental and Chemical Engineering; and Electrical and Computer Engineering.

The Lecturer is expected to make a significant contribution to the teaching and research efforts of the School, in particular in the discipline of Mechanical and Automotive Engineering focusing on Automatic Control, Advanced Control, Modern Control, Nonlinear Control, Advanced Vibrations, Modal Analysis, NVH.
This position will be expected to undertake high quality research in the designated fields preferably in collaboration with industry, including supervision of project students and HDR students. The incumbent will be expected to participate in the academic activities of the School and the College and to pursue a program of professional development consistent with the strategic goals of the School.
Skills & Experience Required
You will have demonstrated experience in teaching at higher education level, with a proven record of academic and/or professional achievement in Mechanical or other relevant discipline.
Furthermore you will have a proven ability to undertake high impact research in the designated field resulting in high quality journal articles in recognized international journals, along with a demonstrated ability to generate alternative funding projects and undertake research which will contribute to School research areas.
