Project Manager in Planning and Accreditation
School of Education
The School of Education is consistently ranked as one of Australia’s leading research and teaching institutions in the field of education. It has a strong commitment to addressing issues of education and equity in the context of rapid social, economic and cultural change. The School’s education programs and research agendas have focused on driving state and national educational innovation and reform.
In 2016 the School developed an innovative and ambitious strategic vision statement with foci to deliver to our students innovative teaching and learning experiences of the highest quality, to maintain our reputation of being above world standards in research, and be front and centre in global discussions on major educational issues. The School’s initial teacher education programs are either currently undergoing Stage 1 or Stage 2 AITSL/QCT accreditation or are due to be reaccredited in the next twelve months.
The Project Manager will work closely with the Head of School and the School Manager to support two significant projects: (1) operationalising the School’s vision statement and (2) developing surveys, procedures and other mechanisms to meet reporting requirements for external accreditation with the Australian Institute for Teaching and School Leadership and the Queensland College of Teachers. The position will contribute to the development of strategies to evaluate progress against milestones and support the operations of the Head of School’s office.
The successful applicant will possess relevant qualifications, preferably in the field of education, with at least two year's project management experience or a combination of training and experience. You will be a team player with effective interpersonal skills and ideally would have experience in, or extensive knowledge of, initial teacher education program accreditation with external organisations. Relevant academic administration in a University or other educational provider would be advantageous.
This is a fixed-term, part-time appointment (60%) until 30 June 2018 at HEW Level 7. The remuneration package will be in the range $49,130-$53,735 p.a., plus employer superannuation contributions of up to 9.5% (total package will be in the range $53,797-$58,839 p.a.).
