We are seeking suitable candidates with the following business discipline strengths: 

Management

  1. Successful teaching experience at the undergraduate and graduate level; using case studies, simulation and other innovative teaching methods
  2. A record of excellent mentoring, and conducting research projects with students,
  3. Industry experience,
  4. Ability to teach a variety of management courses integrating industry practices and latest concepts in management,
  5. Publish in high quality journals.

Marketing

  1. Experience (research, teaching, and/or work experience) in marketing analytics and use of various quantitative analysis techniques (e.g., marketing analytics; predictive modelling; database marketing), 
  2. Ability to teach a variety of marketing management courses, 
  3. A record of excellent mentoring, and conducting research projects with students, 
  4. Publish in high quality journals.

Accounting

  1. Excellent teaching experience at the undergraduate and/or graduate levels, 
  2. Evidence of publication in high quality journals; 
  3. CPA license or other professional license or certification, 
  4. Accounting or Business professional experience and membership

The appointees will be experienced academic / faculty members and will be responsible for teaching and supervision in post/graduate courses in Business/Accounting degrees. 

Duties

  • A leadership role in curriculum development and teaching.
  • Course coordination.
  • Supervision of major honours or postgraduate research projects.
  • Supervision of the program of study for honours and postgraduate students engaged in course work.
  • Research, including, where appropriate, leadership of a large research team.
  • Significant contribution to the profession, and/or discipline.

Key Selection Criteria:

  • A PhD in Business or a related discipline.
  • A substantial publication record relative to career stage.
  • Success in obtaining research funding.
  • Evidence of quality teaching and supervision of students at under- and postgraduate levels. 
  • The ability to teach across a range of subjects at various levels.
  • Experience teaching online classes, team teaching with other business colleagues is a plus.
  • Evidence of academic leadership relative to career stage.
  • Demonstrated ability to establish and maintain effective relations with colleagues in an academic environment and with people from diverse backgrounds.
  • Amenable to use new learning and teaching technologies.
  • Excellent oral and written communication skills.

Employment type: Full time position subject to Ministry of Manpower Singapore jurisdiction and probationary period

Remuneration conditions: Attractive package negotiated with successful applicant-(including relocation expenses, initial accommodation costs)-commensurate with qualifications and experience. Candidates should note relatively lower Singapore taxation rates and possibility of annual-wage-supplement equal to a month’s salary at end of calendar year.

Lecturer: SGD77 000 per annum – SGD109 000 per annum

Senior Lecturer: SGD91 000 per annum – SGD128 000 per annum

Associate Professor: SGD163 000 per annum – SGD231 000 per annum
