The Faculty of Arts have an opportunity for two experienced administrators, with excellent attention to detail and a strong professional service focus, to join the team. The Department of Media, Music, Communications and Cultural Studies (MMCCS) and the Department of Modern History, Politics and International Relations (MHPIR) are seeking Department Administrators to support the administrative operations of these departments. The Department Administrator reports directly to the Head of Department and provides them, and other academics within the department, with advice on University policies, procedures and processes. The incumbent will also be responsible for a wide and varied range of administrative duties including budget monitoring, reporting and analysis, website content maintenance, and coordinating recruitment. - Substantial experience providing high level professional services in an administrative role.
- Ability to deliver high quality work in a complex and high-volume environment.
- Demonstrated initiative and experience developing and implementing process improvements.
- Demonstrated experience interpreting data and preparing reports, preferably with exposure to maintaining budgets and student related information.
- Ability to build and manage relationships with a diverse range of stakeholders.
Experience working in an administrative role in the Higher Education Sector would be highly regarded.
Salary Package: from $80,231 p.a. (HEW Level 6), plus 17% employer's superannuation and annual leave loading
