Job Description

Boston University invites applications for one faculty position in the School of Hospitality Administration (SHA). We have a need for teaching/research in human resources and organizational behavior. This is a non-tenure track position with the academic rank of Assistant Professor.

Expectations: All faculty members are expected to teach, conduct and actively publish peer-reviewed scholarly research, as well as participate in professional and university service. Faculty members are expected to develop connections with industry professionals and to continuously update their expertise through industry consulting and scholarly activities. Faculty members are also expected to advise individual students and student groups, and to participate in school and university service activities.

School Profile: The School of Hospitality Administration at Boston University is a specialized business program focused on the hospitality sector, especially the hotel and restaurant industries, with a solid liberal arts foundation, with approximately 400 students enrolled. SHA is part of a major research university, located in a cosmopolitan city with world-class academic institutions and a vibrant hospitality sector. http://www.bu.edu/hospitality

Required Skills

Candidates should have earned doctoral degree in I/O Psychology, Management/OB or a related field. Evidence of effective teaching and potential for high quality research required. The candidate should be able to teach related courses. International exposure and work experience are highly desired.
