About the opportunity

You will be part of an ARC Centre of Excellence in Population Ageing Research (CEPAR), which conducts multidisciplinary research on the topic of population ageing. CEPAR will soon be embarking on a new research stream called “Organisations and the Mature Workforce” led by Professor Sharon K. Parker in conjunction with Professor Marian Baird (University of Sydney) and Professor Kaarin Anstey (Australian National University). Example topics to be investigated in this new research stream include: the role of work design in promoting successful ageing, how organisations attract and retain mature workers, and how the health and performance of mature workers can be fostered. As a post-doctoral researcher, you will report to Sharon Parker and you will be located at the UWA Business School in Perth, Western Australia. The UWA Business School is one of the premier business schools in the Asia Pacific Region with a reputation for international excellence in research, teaching and learning. Specifically, you will be co-located with members of the Centre for Transformative Work Design; a newly established centre within the business school.

About you

You will have relevant PhD qualification in organisational psychology/behavior, experience in a range of research methods conducting applied organisational and field-based research, and preferably some knowledge of aging and/or work design research. This is an outstanding opportunity for researchers with a track record of academic excellence and a passion for ageing/work research to join a high-impact research centre.
