About the job
As a Disability Adviser, you will work closely with students that have a disability to improve their university experience by promoting services and offering support in the form of equipment, exam adjustments, alternative format text and sign language interpretation. You will provide high level advice and make recommendations to academic and professional stakeholders, and will liaise with external service providers to provide any additional provisions.
Skills and Experience
Tertiary qualifications in a disability, human services or education field is essential, along with previous experience in assessment and the strategic planning of interventions to assist students the successful completion of their studies.
You will have a comprehensive knowledge of Disability Discrimination legislation, and the capacity to work effectively with a range of stakeholders and services across the University. Most importantly, you will have an empathetic approach to working with people with disabilities and a commitment to improving their educational attainment outcomes.

In addition to your salary, the University will make employer superannuation contributions of up to 17% of salary on your behalf.
