Lecturer in Management
Applications are invited for appointment to this position, which will be offered on a full-time continuing basis, with the successful appointee being required to take up duty before the 31st of January 2018.
The Tasmanian School of Business and Economics (TSBE) at the University of Tasmania is a provider of world-class research and teaching, offering undergraduate and postgraduate programs at the University's Hobart, Launceston and Cradle Coast (Burnie) campuses, as well as in Sydney at the Rozelle campus. The TSBE also provides undergraduate teaching programs internationally in China and Hong Kong.
The appointee shall have a PhD in management or a related area. They shall have an emerging record in, and continuing commitment to, research that has achieved national recognition as demonstrated by publications in journals in the current Australian Business Deans Council (ABDC) journal list. The appointee will have the ability to contribute to research and teaching in management, including general management, organisational behaviour, organisation studies, strategic management, or human resources management. It is desirable that they have a professional background in management or related role.
The primary roles of the position are to teach into the TSBE Bachelor of Business and relevant postgraduate programs, and undertake and publish high-quality industry relevant research. The appointee will also fulfil administrative duties related to the position. They will be required to participate in curriculum design and development.
The appointment will be at Academic Level B
Appointment to this role at Academic Level B will have a total remuneration package of up to $127,368 (comprising base salary within the range of $92,326 - $108,862 plus 17% superannuation with the option of an additional 3% salary loading in exchange for 14% instead of 17% superannuation).
