Associate Professor / Professor in Management
Applications are invited for appointment to this position, which will be offered on a full-time continuing basis, with the successful appointee being required to take up duty as soon as possible.
The Tasmanian School of Business and Economics (TSBE) at the University of Tasmania is a provider of world-class research and teaching, offering undergraduate and postgraduate programs at the University's Hobart, Launceston and Cradle Coast (Burnie) campuses, as well as in Sydney at the Rozelle campus. The TSBE also provides undergraduate teaching programs internationally in China and Hong Kong.
The appointee shall have a PhD in management or a related area. At Level D, they shall have a substantial record and continuing commitment to research, while at Level E, they shall have an outstanding record and continuing commitment to research. At both levels, the appointee will demonstrate this through publications in journals in the current Australian Business Deans Council (ABDC) journal list and through a substantial record of successful external funding. The appointee will have proven ability as an academic leader and have extensive experience in University-level teaching and learning, across different delivery modes.
The primary roles of the position are to teach into the TSBE Bachelor of Business and appropriate postgraduate management programs, undertake and publish high-quality industry relevant research, secure external funding and supervise higher degree research students. The appointee will also fulfil administrative duties related to the position. They will be required to participate in curriculum design and development and will be involved ongoing course evaluation and improvement. The appointee will also be expected to contribute to the leadership of the TSBE.
The appointment will be at Academic Level D or E:
Appointment to this role at Academic Level D will have a total remuneration package of up to $172,089 (comprising base salary within the range of $134,000 - $147,085 plus 17% superannuation with the option of an additional 3% salary loading in exchange for 14% instead of 17% superannuation).
Appointment to this role at Academic Level E will have a total remuneration package of up to $200,170 (comprising a base salary of $171,085 plus 17% superannuation with the option of an additional 3% salary loading in exchange for 14% instead of 17% superannuation).
