Letterkenny Institute of Technology (LYIT) is a lively and inspirational place that attracts a creative mix of 4,000 students from throughout Ireland and from 30 different countries. This gives the Institute a vibrant array of cultures and activities on campus and a friendly, supportive and relaxed
atmosphere where students and staff work closely together. Mazars have been retained by LYIT to assist with the appointment of the President of the Institute. Applications are invited from suitably qualified candidates both nationally and internationally.
The ideal candidate will be an inspiring and strategic leader with a strong academic background (ideally qualified to PhD level or equivalent) and have a minimum 10 years’ proven leadership and achievement at senior level in business, industry, public sector or higher education. The person will have a record of collaborating effectively in the achievement of strategic objectives, strong financial management knowledge, including a good understanding of resource generation and fundraising, enterprise development and comprehensive knowledge and understanding of higher education issues. The person will also possess excellent interpersonal, communication and influencing skills.
The post will be for a five-year, fixed-term contract with a single point salary of €145,025.
