The role and your responsibilities

The Senior Lecturer - Industry Fellow is expected to contribute to the teaching efforts of the School, within the area of Infrastructure Engineering focusing on infrastructure planning and development, deterioration modelling, and infrastructure asset management. More specifically, the Senior Lecturer - Industry Fellow is responsible for carrying out teaching activities within undergraduate, Masters and Graduate Diploma programs, onshore and offshore, and for maintaining and advancing their scholarly, professional and/or research capabilities. The Senior Lecturer - Industry Fellow is also expected to actively promote the program by establishing and maintaining memberships, links and partnerships with academic, industry and professional communities.

Skills and experience required

The ideal candidate will demonstrate ability to prepare and deliver programs at undergraduate and post-graduate levels, including online delivery, and the ability to produce high quality curriculum or program materials in Infrastructure Engineering focusing on infrastructure planning and development, deterioration modelling, and infrastructure asset management. Your ability to undertake course coordinator role and capacity to work effectively with and to negotiate sensitively with students especially on issues related to effective learning will be critical to your success in this role. Furthermore, you will have emerging track record and recognition for within their discipline or profession evidenced industry links, or publications, development of new research initiatives, competitive research funding.

A PhD or relevant practical professional experience / specialist expertise in a relevant field is required.
