Since 1850, St Mary’s mission has been to provide a high quality professional environment, inspired by its distinctive ethos and values. The University is an inclusive academic community, where everybody is welcomed.

St Mary’s is on an exciting journey of transformation and growth, to benefit students, staff and the wider St Mary’s community. As the University builds on its proud heritage, it will be looking for exceptional people to help shape its progressive future.

St Mary’s Students’ Union is an independent not-for-profit organisation run by students, for students. We represent St Mary’s students on a university-wide level, as well as locally, regionally and nationally. We also provide recreational and developmental activities – from sports clubs to societies – and coordinate all the major student events on campus throughout the academic year. In addition, we provide a range of services to students including a shop, radio station and NUS Extra cards.

We are looking for an Events and Fundraising Coordinator to join our team to manage and develop all major student events and social activities at St Mary’s University. The role will work closely with the Vice-President Community and other key stakeholders (such as Health and Safety and Security) to coordinate and promote events and student-led activities from initial brief to delivery. The role will develop all aspects of events across campus through progressive partnership working with relevant departments and the University. The role holder will also be expected to reach income generation targets in relation to the Students’ Union central budget and fundraising for local and national charities.
