The Faculty of Society & Design offers a highly diverse suite of programs across the disciplines of Architecture, Built Environment, Communication, Creative Media, Humanities and Social Sciences. Reporting directly to the Vice-Chancellor and President, the Executive Dean will have overall responsibility for the strategic direction, development and leadership of the academic and administrative affairs for the Faculty of Society & Design. This position requires an innovative, entrepreneurially-minded and visionary leader, who has significant experience as a driver of change, to propel an interdisciplinary Faculty forward. This key role will continue a culture of high-performance that ensures the ongoing delivery of an exceptional student experience and builds on the University’s brand.

About the person:

The successful candidate will be a highly experienced executive who has a passion for learning and teaching, and research. They will possess the demonstrated ability to lead a motivated team of academics and professional staff, have substantial knowledge, understanding and experience in tertiary education both nationally and internationally, budgetary management skills and strong business acumen. At the forefront of their focus will be their student centric philosophy.
