Position Summary

Working in a multimedia and event environment, the Research Event and Media Officer contributes to the profile and reputation of the School through involvement in the development and implementation of activities around a research project between RMIT University and Lendlease.

The position will support the research project Chief Investigator in managing the projects, liaising with key stakeholders and assisting with the organisation of project events.

Reporting to the Senior Coordinator, Research Administration your responsibilities will include ongoing management of research project specific social media profiles, liaising with project partners and coordination/editing of a research project specific podcast.

Key Responsibilities and Qualifications

Essential to this position will be your experience in IT or media or within an educational institution. You will be experienced with University computer systems, advanced computing, graphics and web authoring tools and web-based resource development.

It is expected that you will bring your knowledge and experience in event organisation and liaising with internal and external stakeholders. You will also have demonstrated project management skills including the ability to prioritise tasks, manage time effectively and work to deadlines.


A tertiary qualification in a relevant discipline and/or substantial experience in a similar role
