The Centre for Human and Applied Physiology (http://www.uow.edu.au/health/chp/) is involved in collaborative research partnership in the area of Physical and Physiological Performance with Land Division of the Defence Science and Technology Group (DST Group: Melbourne). The principal focus of this work is upon the establishment of Physical and Physiological Employment Standards and training systems within the Australian Defence Force. This position is aimed at conducting research to establish those standards and research focused on training systems used to enhance the capacity of Defence employees.
This position is located within the Physical Performance Team, Land Division of the Defence Science and Technology Group (DST Group: Melbourne). However, Academic staff from the University will contribute to the planning, implementation, analysis and reporting of this research, and will also play significant supervisory roles throughout the life of the project.
This position will participate in research planning, preparation, data collection, data analysis and reporting associated with all phases of this project. All researchers will be required to travel to, and work at Australian Defence Force bases during the field research phases of this project.
